Flats

So apparently it gets cold enough here in Logan to make your tires go flat. Fun stuff let me tell you. Last Monday our front passenger side tire went completely flat. Luckily we have AAA and they have a dude up here in Logan. He came out and put our spare on and we then headed over and bought 2 new tires. They were going out anyway.

Then today after church, we went to move our car for snow removal and discovered one of our back tires was going flat. Many thanks to our neighbors who let us use their mini air compressor to fill it back up. (I'm hoping it was just the cold that mad the back tire deflate a bit and it wont happen again. I hope!

We're looking at getting 2 things for our trunk - a jack (because we don't have one) and a mini compressor. Maybe we wont need them again, but I'd prefer to get them just in case.

Working Out

So Ian and I have started an exercise regime. He has Dynamic fitness lab (a PE class) 3 days/week and then he exercises with me the other two days of the week. And I exercise by myself the days he has class.
We figured that we pay student fees in order to have access to the field house, we might as well use it. So we started this week. We bought access to lockers (another incentive to actually go work out.) I went Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I figure my muscles need a day to rebuild so Wednesday and Saturday are my days off. (and Sunday of course.) It's been nice so far.
I used to hate going to the gym to work out. I felt super self-conscious because I'm usually the only significantly overweight person there. It's hard not to think that people are judging you, hypocritically, for being there. But No one has been rude or given me bad looks or anything. I also decided that everyone else there is probably feeling insecure too. So I just go and do my own thing and ignore everyone else. It's been nice actually. I feel pretty good. :)
I hope that this continues to motivate me to go. I need it. I'm tired of being at such an unhealthy weight and my husband is too. We're getting healthy together.

Happy New Year!

I'm looking forward to a year with less trials. Ha ha. If only it would be so easy.

We spent the night at my brother-in-law's house in Brigham last night. It was an enjoyable evening. Although I was feeling tense and a bit anti-social at the beginning of the evening. I knew my hubby wanted to go spend some time with his older brother, so I took one for the team. We stayed up til 2:15. :( It was a long night too. I'm sure I'll be sleeping soundly tonight. In fact I might take some Tylenol Simply Sleep to make sure I do.

The new job is going well. So far I've been doing some data checking. It's relaxing really. I think that the others don't really like doing it because it can be tedious, but I get to relax and listen to iTunes while i do it, so I'm good. Yesterday I was told they'd be locking the front door at 5:45 and if we left after that we'd need to use the stairs by the break room to get out. at 6:00 a guy came up to me and told me he was about to turn the lights off. ??? I wasn't told we had to leave by 6! So i quickly closed out of the applications I was in and shut down my PC, but he turned the lights off before I was done and I ended up having to use my cell phone light to find the break room and the subsequent exit. I was a little bugged.

Oh well. Just one of those misunderstandings where I am completely lost. I'll get over it.

Happy New Year! I hope everyone has a great year and many wonderful experiences.  :D
